This report is Austria's second monitoring report prepared on behalf of the federal government in accordance with the European Directive on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (external link - only in German).

It is addressed to the European Commission and a wider professional audience and presents the results of the monitoring, including the measurement data. The directive on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies has been incorporated into the national legislation of the EU Member States, in Austria in the form of a federal law and nine provincial laws.

The Directive refers to an accessibility standard set out in a harmonised European standard. This report is subject to EN 301 549 version 3.2.1 (2021-03) (PDF) (external link).

EU member states shall document compliance with the following:
Accessibility requirements through regular monitoring. The results were first presented in the form of a monitoring report at the end of 2021 and are presented every three years thereafter.
