Information on monitoring periods and responsible monitoring bodies
Monitoring periods
This report presents the results of the second, third and fourth monitoring periods.
- Second monitoring period: From 1 January 2022 to 22 December 2022
- Third monitoring period: From 1 January 2023 to 22 December 2023
- Fourth monitoring period: From 1 January 2024 to 22 December 2024
During these three periods, a sample of websites and apps was checked for accessibility by the monitoring bodies or on their behalf.
Days of carrying out the monitoring checks in detail:
- Monitoring period 2022: 7 February 2022 to 13 October 2022
- Monitoring period 2023: 24 January 2023 to 11 October 2023
- Monitoring period 2024: 1 February 2024 to 16 September 2024
Competent bodies
There are ten monitoring bodies in Austria: a body responsible for monitoring the websites and apps at federal level and a further competent body for each of the nine federal states.

The FFG plays a coordinating role in the coordination between the federal states and the federal government and supports the competent authorities in the federal states in their monitoring tasks. A common approach has been developed in close coordination so that monitoring can be carried out efficiently throughout Austria and digital accessibility can be promoted together in Austria.
