Consultations

The FFG is the contact point for federal institutions with questions about digital accessibility. Telephone consultations are carried out daily. Written enquiries are also received by the monitoring centre's staff several times a week.

Since 2023, the FFG has been proactively offering digital consultation appointments linked to the transmission of incoming monitoring reports. In 2023, around 27 hours of advice were provided, in 2024 around 20 hours.

Consultations were also offered in the province of Burgenland after the reports had been submitted. To date, however, no claims have been made.

The province of Carinthia offers the in-depth checked institutions an online feedback interview with the accessibility testers who prepare the monitoring report after the reports have been submitted. For simplified checked institutions, an in-depth check is recommended upon submission of the report. The monitoring office is currently examining alternative support offers for the simplified checked entities.

In Lower Austria, some web operators turn to the monitoring office. On average, there are 3 conversations per year.

In the province of Upper Austria, in 2022, 2023 and 2024 a total of 6 consultations conducted.

In the province of Salzburg, there are 2 to 3 feedbacks per year after the monitoring reports have been sent to the audited institutions. In addition, the Salzburg Complaints Office regularly receives requests for the design of barrier-free web offers, which are forwarded to the responsible service providers for barrier-free websites.

In the state of Tyrol, in 2022, 2023 and 2024, 20 to 25 telephone and written consultations were made. Topics include both the submitted monitoring reports and general questions on digital accessibility.

In Vienna, the respective accessibility testers held detailed results meetings after each in-depth review of a website or mobile application in order to support the audited organizations in the improvements.
